Masood injured in landmine blast
MOSCOW, SEPT. 9. The anti-Taliban Northern Alliance military
chief, Mr. Ahmad Shah Masood, was injured and one of his
bodyguards killed in a landmine blast in the Afghan province of
Takhar, the Itar-Tass news agency reported quoting military
sources.
According to the agency, Mr. Masood was travelling in his vehicle
in Khoja Bahautdin town when the landmine went off. No other
details were available immediately.
