By Our Staff Correspondent

RAIPUR, SEPT. 9. The Union Finance Minister, Mr. Yashwant Sinha, today said the Centre and the Chhatisgarh Government would work together for the development of the State.

Addressing the Chhatisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Mr. Sinha said the Centre and State had common goals which would help in the speedy decision-making at the Centre. He said the Centre would give all help for the speedy development of the State.

On Saturday, Mr. Sinha had announced Rs. 100 crores for construction of bridges in the tribal areas besides setting up of financial institutions. Calling upon the State Government to provide land and accommodation to make the entry of these financial institutions convenient, Mr. Sinha said this should be supplemented by better infrastructure.

It is the responsibility of the Centre and the State to give good infrastructure for healthy development of the industrial sector, he said.

The Governor, Mr. Dinesh Nandan Sahay, hoped that the Centre would consider sympathetically the demands of the Chhatisgarh Government.
