VHP alleges police-militants nexus in J&K

By Our Special Correspondent

AHMEDABAD, SEPT. 6. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) international vice-president, Acharya Giriraj Kishore, today accused the Jammu and Kashmir police and the State Government officials ofbeing ``hand-in-glove'' with terrorists and favoured the dismissal of the Dr. Farooq Abdullah Ministry.

Talking to mediapersons, he said the Centre should send its personnel to Israel for training in guerilla warfare and attack the terrorist training centres in Kashmir and across the border. The Centre should also suspend all diplomatic relations with Pakistan till it agreed to stop sponsoring cross-border terrorism and suspend the ISI activities. The Kashmir situation, he felt, required `greater attention' from the Centre and it must adopt a `do or die' stance to solve the problem. He disagreed with the demand to ban the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).
