10 policemen die in blast
GUNTUR, AUG. 20.In a major strike by naxalites, ten policemen
were killed and two others seriously injured in a landmine blast
triggered by the outlawed People's War Group near Remidicherla
village in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh today.
A jeep, carrying the police party drafted for security
arrangements for the local bodies elections, was proceeding to a
nearby village when the blast occurred, police said.
