Petrol dealers drop stir plan

NEW DELHI, AUG. 17. The Union Petroleum Minister, Mr. Ram Naik, today announced in both Houses of Parliament that petroleum dealers had called off their nation-wide stir scheduled to begin from Sunday night.

Making a statement, Mr. Naik said the Federation of All-India Petroleum Traders had agreed not to go ahead with the strike.
