BSNL updates entries to release directory

PONDICHERRY, AUG. 13. The BSNL in Pondicherry has taken steps to update the entries in the telephone directory in order to bring out a new directory for the Pondicherry region.

It has called upon the subscribers to verify the entries in the lists that would be displayed at the places given below:

Numbers relating to the subscribers of the Main Exchange and those beginning with the digits 22, 23 and 34 would be displayed in the DE (Urban) office at Badar Sahib Street and in the JTO (North) office in 8th cross, Rainbow Nagar.

Subscribers of the Kandamangalam and Tiruvandarkoil exchanges can verify the details in the Tiruvandarkoil exchange. For the Ariankuppam and Thavalakuppam exchanges, the list will be displayed in the Ariankuppam exchange.

The list for the Katterikuppam and Tiruchitrambalam areas will be put up in the Tiruchitrambalam Exchange.

A communication from BSNL's General Manager said subscribers could verify their number and address from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from August 13 to 25, except on August 15, 19 and 22. Forms for amendment could be submitted till August 25.

The government departments or undertakings can intimate the DE (PR) for changes in names, designations or in the phone numbers before August 25.
