AITA's revised calender
NEW DELHI, AUG. 9. The All India Tennis Association (AITA) has
revised its calendar, and brought back the $ 25,000 ITF women's
circuit tournament to Delhi from Mumbai.
The biggest women's tournament in the Indian calendar will be
held at the R.K. Khanna Stadium from November 26, after the
Lucknow hosts the $ 10,000 event from November 19.
Two other women's international tournaments are scheduled in
Chennai from September 3, and in Delhi from September 10.
The three ITF Futures tournament will be held in Mumbai, Indore
and Pune, over three successive weeks in that order, from October
15.
The DSCL National hardcourt championship - featuring seniors,
juniors, sub-juniors and mini-juniors - originally scheduled to
be held from October 8, will now be held from December 10 over a
fortnight in Delhi.
The Asian Closed ITF junior tournament will also be held here
from December 3. Two other ITF junior tournaments will be hosted
by Chennai and Mumbai from September 17 and 24 respectively.
