Raj Bhavan march by Lok Janshakti
By Our Staff Reporter
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, AUG. 9. The Lok Janshakti Party today took
out a march and blockaded the Raj Bhavan demanding that the right
to work be recognised as a fundamental right. The march was part
of a nation-wide stir launched by the party.
Yuva Janshakthi workers who staged a dharna before the PSC
office against the Government ban on appointments also joined the
march. Inaugurating the Raj Bhavan blockade, the party State
president, Ms. Jayalakshmi, said the right to work was a birth
right. She demanded protection for self-employed people like
wayside vendors and equal rights for Dalits, religious minorities
and women.
The party general secretaries, Mr. Jayapradeep, Mr. K.V.
Rajendran, Mr. Prakash Mathew and Mr. K.G. Mohan, the Yuva
Janshakthi national secretary, Mr. Jacob Peter, and the Sthree
Janshakthi State president, Ms. P. Sreedevi, participated in the
march.
