Other States \| Previous Lovers hanged by parents MUZAFFARNAGAR, AUG. 7. A 20-year-old youth and his 18-year-old beloved, belonging to different castes, were hanged to death by their parents in the presence of hundreds of residents at a village in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, police said today. The district police chief, Mr. B.S. Moriya, said apparently annoyed with their affair, Vishal and Sonu were brought to the roof of a house and hanged one after the other at Alipur village on Monday night. The girl's parents and the boy's elder brother and sister-in-law were witnesses to the hanging, he said.
