10 killed in landmine blast

GUWAHATI, AUG. 5 Ten persons, including eight CRPF jawans, were
killed when the truck in which they were travelling blew up after
hitting a landmine suspected to have been planted by NDFB
militants in the Bijni- Amguri road in Bongaigaon district of
Assam today, official sources here said. The driver and handyman
of the vehicle were also killed.
On July 31, the NDFB blew up a Bhutan Government truck on the
Indo-Bhutan border in Kokrajhar district, killing five Bhutanese
forest guards.
