today mooted the idea of setting up either at Tiruvayyaru or at
Tirupati a Thyagaraja University of Music and Dance to perpetuate

Dance here being organised under the aegis of the Sri Thyagaraja
Trust.
Mr. Krishnamurthy said he was against managers of the music
sabhas using them for their personal aggrandaisement. He lauded
the services of the Tirupati Thyagaraja Trust in conducting the
music festival in the last 59 years in collaboration with the
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and expressed the hope that
its long-cherished wish for a permanent auditorium would be
fulfilled next year when it will celebrate its 60 years of
existence.
Mr. P. Krishnaiah, Executive Officer, TTD, who is chairman of the
festival committee, assured continued TTD patronage to the Trust.
Earlier Mr. M. Krishnaswamy, president of the Thayagaraja Trust,
