Sink differences, Azad tells partymen
By Our Special Correspondent
CHENNAI, JULY 21. The senior Congress leader, Mr. Gulam Nabi
Azad, today called upon the partymen to sink their differences
and mistrust and work together to strengthen the party in Tamil
Nadu.
Addressing a meeting organised by the TNCC traders' cell to mark
the 99th birth anniversary of K. Kamaraj, Mr. Azad said the
biggest tribute to the great leader would be avoiding airing of
differences in public.
He also said when congressmen talk of restoring the Kamaraj rule,
it should not be perceived as letting down ``any other party''.
Obviously referring to the recent conflict between the AIADMK and
the Congress, following the TMC president's call for Kamaraj rule
in the State, Mr. Azad said ``by Kamaraj rule, we only mean
governance, integrity, simplicity, justice to the poor''.
