A lesson well learnt
It was lunch break after the mathematics period. Six of us went
out into the playground with our lunch boxes. We finished our
lunch quickly and had 25 minutes of our break left for some play.
As we were getting bored, one of our friends, Deepak had an idea
- to wrestle.
Arjun, Ajay and I were watching a race. Suddenly I saw Murthy
lying down and Deepak Singh over him. And then the other Deepak
jumped over Deepak Singh. By the time I realised that something
was serious, Murthy was howling with pain. Other senior students
came to the rescue and carried the injured Murthy to the first
aid room.
Later, Deepak Singh was the only one punished. I felt that all
six of us were equally responsible for the incident and so the
other friends and I owned up to the principal.
When my father came to know about this incident, he was upset and
told me that the WWF programme on TV is fake and advised me that
we should not be carried away by such stunts.
Ever since the incident I have stopped watching the WWF show and
now watch only Cartoon Network. This incident was an eye-opener
to all of us.
