Bush visit not confirmed
By Sridhar Krishnaswami
WASHINGTON, JULY 10. The White House has said that it cannot
confirm news reports that the President, Mr. George Bush, is
planning to visit India early next year.
``No, I cannot confirm that. We have not announced any such
travel,'' the spokesman Mr. Ari Fleischer, said during a press
briefing. The Spokesman was responding to a question on not only
the President's visit to India but that this had been confirmed
by the new Indian Ambassador, Mr. Lalit Mansingh, during the
presentation of his credentials recently.
