Gurupoornima celebrations

BANGALORE, JUNE 26. The Vyakti Vikasa Kendra founded by Sri
Ravishankar Guruji is organising a series of programmes during
the first week of July as part of the Gurupoornima celebrations
in over 100 countries.
Gurupoornima will be celebrated on July 5 by devotees to show
their gratitude to all the masters "who had blessed the plaent
and in parted knowledge to their disciples."
Sri Ravishankar Guruji, who recently addressed the European
Parliament, and who currently on a tour of the U.S., will
participate in the Gurupoornima celebrations there, the kendra
co-ordinator, Ms. Rajita Bagga, told presspersons here on
Tuesday.
She said during the week, volunteers would organise medical camps
and participate in functions to supply free clothing to 50,000
beneficiaries. On July 4 and July 6 volunteers would also take up
cleaning of slums in some parts of the City.
The celebrations would culiminate mass feeding for over 10,000
people on July 8. More than 600 volunteers would participate in
the programmes in the City, she added.
