By Our Staff Reporter
BANGALORE, JUNE 25. A bull ran amok in Rajgopalanagar police
station limits injuring three persons on Monday.
Earlier, the bull had been set free after having been offered to
the deity at a shrine, and was bitten by a dog with rabies. On
Monday morning, the bull, which was also affected, ran amok in
Karim Sab Palya, Kamakshipalya, and surrounding areas, attacking
people and causing panic.
The people tried to catch the bull, but could not do so. Police
also failed in their attempts. The animal attacked Mr.
Gangavenkataiah, assistant sub-inspector of police, and he fell
on the road suffering fracture in the knee. Swetha (13) and
Devaraj (22), who were attacked by the bull, were injured.
Police and residents managed to catch the bull around noon. It
was tranquilised and taken to the Veterinary Hospital at Hebbal.
