Sinha resumes office

NEW DELHI, JUNE 20. The Union Finance Minister, Mr. Yashwant Sinha, today resumed office after nearly two weeks following a successful surgery in the U.S.

Mr. Sinha was operated for a kidney cyst in a Boston hospital. The Finance Minister attended his routine functions and had a number of meetings. He was cheerful and displayed no signs of strain. A number of important policy decisions await Mr. Sinha's attention.
