Train was our target, say blast accused
MORENA (MP),JUNE 12. Four people, arrested in connection with the
May 19 blast in Morena town, have admitted that they were
planning to engineer a blast in the Pathankot Express, but their
plans went awry as the time bomb went off before the train's
arrival, the police said.
Two associates of the arrested were killed and two others
seriously injured in the blast, they said adding the four had
also revealed during interrogation that they were making time
bombs and explosives and supplying them to others through a
``contact'' in Delhi.
Police have informed their counterparts in Delhi and Chennai
about the arrests as they suspect that the four might have links
with Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).
The Morena police are now on the hunt for persons who had engaged
Shahid and his gang for supplying them the explosives, sources
added.
