PM takes a walk
The Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee, recuperating after a right knee joint surgery, today undertook a prolonged walk up and down the seventh floor corridor of the Breach Candy Hospital. He was expected to take the support of a walker for a few more days, hospital sources said.

Army storms mosque
After a 40-hour standoff in village Shangus, all the six militants holed up in the Jamai mosque were killed today when the Army stormed in with sharp-shooters. One soldier lost his life and two were injured in the operation.

Spare mosques, says Hurriyat

'Summit after Vajpayee recovers'
Pakistan today announced that the summit meeting between the Chief Executive, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee, would take place ``shortly'' after Mr. Vajpayee recovers from his knee-surgery.

Devyani 'summoned'
The two-member committee probing the Nepal palace massacre has summoned Ms. Devyani Rana in view of media reports about her relations with the Prince Dipendra,who is alleged to have carried out the mayhem before shooting himself, media reports said here today.
