Promoted Additional Secretary
PONDICHERRY, MAY 26. Dr.R.Padmanabhan, Development Commissioner
and Finance Secretary, has been promoted as Additional Secretary
to the Government of India and appointed as Chairman of the
Pondicherry Society for the Care of the Aged in place of Dr.
Satbir Silas.
He will also serve as Secretary of Planning and Research, Health,
Cooperation, Commercial Taxes, Agriculture, Economics and
Statistics, Finance and Accounts and Treasuries,
according to a communique issued by the Joint Secretary, Mr.G.
Theva Neethi Dhas.
Dr.Silas has been posted as Secretary of the Community
Development Department. She will hold the additional charge of
Chairperson of the District Rural Development Agency.
