Seven-hour blackout in Vellore
By Our Staff Reporter
VELLORE, MAY 20. The days of prolonged power shutdowns have begun
in Vellore. The town went without power supply for nearly seven
hours from 10 a.m. on Sunday.
Since Thursday, prolonged power shutdowns have become the order
of the day, causing hardships to the general public who had to
sweat it out without being able to operate fans at homes and
offices, what with the day temperate shooting beyond 40 degrees
Celsius. The power supply which was restored at 5 p.m. went off
again at 7 p.m.
