Inflation rate dips

NEW DELHI, MAY 20. The inflation rate dipped marginally by 0.06 percentage points to 5.41 per cent in the week ended May 5, due to cheaper food and non-food primary articles.

The point-to-point inflation rate based on wholesale price index (WPI) for all commodities (base: 1993-94 = 100), which remained static at 5.47 per cent in the previous two weeks, was 6.24 per cent a year ago.
