Counterfeit notes seized, 5 held

MADURAI, MAY 15. A five-member gang attempting to exchange counterfeit currency notes was arrested at Melur in Madurai district today.The police said S. Ilango of K. Pudur, N. Pandi of Sivaganga, T. Michael Francis of Tiruppattur, S. Ganesan of Lalgudi and K. Janardhanan of Tiruchi were arrested when they attempted to use fake currency to pay the bill at a local mess.
