Assam Governor given additional charge of Bengal

NEW DELHI, MAY 15. The Assam Governor, Mr. S. K. Sinha, was today appointed to discharge the functions of the Governor of West Bengal in addition to his own, during the absence of Mr. Viren J Shah, who is on leave. This was announced in a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique here.
