ELECTIONS ARE big news for everyone and with the boom in media, everyone has a niche in covering this great exercise. Sunday mornings mean cartoons, fascinating animal tales and `Jai Ganesha' for many on TV, but this weekend, it is politics and the power game all the way.

The private TV channels are geared for the cliffhanger that the poll results have turned out to be. Right from 7-30 a.m., all the three private TV channels - the SUN, Vijay, and Raj will be online with election specials using live news feed from reporters from different parts of the State and a panel discussion with journalists analysing the results and its significance.

The highlight of the SUN TV election special will be the live coverage from news reporters in all the constituencies with specific highlights coming in from Coimbatore, Madurai and Tiruchi.``Our focus would be on accurate and instantaneous beaming of results and poll related news developments'', said a spokesperson of SUN TV.

This will be in addition to the regular news bulletins which will have poll related panel discussions in between. The line up by the Vijay TV will be election specials hosted by media personalities and psephologists on hand to analyse the poll results.

``In our election related programmes, we will update the viewers with maximum detail with scientific and logical explanations on the trends prevailing. The coverage will be very intensive, till the Government is formed'', points out Mr.Rohit Adya, CEO of Vijay TV.

RAJ TV has a lively electoral panel debate, with a special featuring key political party leaders sharing their views in the results.

So, stay tuned from 7-30 a.m.
