Eleven peacocks found dead

UJJAIN, MAY 12. Eleven peacocks were found dead on Friday near a small tank in village Luhari in Khasrod Tehsil, about 80 km from here, police said.

Police said here today that the carcasses had been sent to the veterinary hospital at Khasrod for post-mortem and the report was awaited.

However, police ruled out possibility of the birds being shot down by hunters as water in the tank, where the peacocks were found dead, smelt of pesticide.
