BSF begins probe into attack on scribes
SRINAGAR, MAY 12. The Inspector-General of the Border Security
Force, Mr. K. Vijay Kumar, has began an inquiry into the alleged
attack on presspersons by BSF personnel.
Mr. Kumar on Friday recorded the statements of journalists and
cameramen, beaten up by the BSF personnel at Magam. The BSF
personnel had also allegedly damaged equipment worth Rs. 50
lakhs.The media, political and social organisations, besides
militants outfits have condemned the incident.
