Scientist protests
NEW DELHI, MAY 11. A scientist nursing a grudge against the
National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) caused a
commotion when he smeared the face of its Chairman, Mr. N.K.
Sharma, with pastry in the presence of the Vice-President, Mr.
Krishan Kant, and the Union Minister of Science and Technology,
Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, here today. Mr. Sanjeev Jaidka, who
complained that the NRDC had stalled commercialisation of his
research product, sprung a surprise in the convention hall where
Mr. Kant and Dr. Joshi launched an electric car, Reva. Mr. Jaidka
was later arrested.
