Taking a pick of degrees>
By Hari Sundar G.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MAY 7. An MBA from a foreign university
through correspondence, a post-graduate degree or diploma in
advanced computer courses, or a chance to earn a degree from a
foreign university -- take your pick of advice and brochures.
An international educational fair, "Careers and Campuses" being
organised at the YMCA Hall here, may be just what career-hunters
may be looking for.
For those looking to obtain a degree, diploma or doctorate from
the University of Leicester, U.K., details of facilities for
study are provided by a consultation agency.
If it is an MBA from Charles Sturt University, Australia, or the
London School of Commerce, that you are looking for, the Madras
School of Management Science, an associate centre, offers to
provide Chennai-based training.
The degrees, being directly awarded by the universities, are
sure to help a lot to gain placements in reputed organisations,
says the consultant in charge of the Madras School of Management
Studies.
You might, alternatively, do your post-graduation in Media
Communication, Management, Foreign Trade or Information
Technology at a pristine surrounding on the slopes of the
Kodaikanal hills. The Kodaikanal Christian College has put up a
stall.
A stall which hands out information on animation and 3D -- a hit
among students at present is attracting many visitors. Diploma
courses in 2D and 3D animation software for creating sculptures
and animation are being offered by the Vismayam School of
Animation and Special Effects.
Details of various educational loans being offered by some banks
and private financiers are also being made available.
The show, organised by International Shows and Events, is the
second of its kind in the State, the first having been held in
Kochi last month. It was inaugurated by a hotel management expert
from the U.K., Ms. Elizabeth Lee, and would conclude on May 9.
