'LDF Government neglected dalits'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MAY 6. The dalit community was neglected most
during the tenure of the LDF Government, according to the Kerala
Congress(M) secretariat member, Mr. Kottarakara Ponnachan.
Inaugurating a district-level meeting of the Kerala Dalit
Congress(M) here today, Mr. Ponnachan said the LDF Government had
failed to give the rightful concessions to the dalit community
and to introduce more welfare schemes.
The Kerala Congress(M) leader urged the dalits to protest openly
against those who neglected the community.
The Dalit Congress(M) district president, Mr. Paliyadu
Sadanadan, presided over the function. Mr. Manaloor Shibu, Mr.
Vamanapuram T. Mani, Mr. Kanjirampara Surendran and Mr. Poovachal
Ravi were among those who spoke.
