DMK manifesto will be released tomorrow
By Our Staff Reporter
PONDICHERRY , MAY 2. Mr. R. V. Janakiraman, DMK convenor and
party nominee in Nellithope Assembly constituency, told
newspersons here today that the Education Minister of Tamil Nadu,
Mr. K. Anbazhagan, would release the party election manifesto for
Pondicherry and kick off the poll campaign on May 4.
He said the NDA had good prospects of being reinstalled in power
in the Union Territory.
He said it was out of lack of confidence and out of fear that the
Chief Minister, Mr. P. Shanmugham, and the Congress(I) leader Mr.
V. Naryanaswamy, did not contest the present polls. He said the
better performance of the DMK during the four years of its rule
would be projected as a major poll plank.
