Burglary in city showroom
By Our Staff Reporter
CHENNAI, MAY 2. Electronic items and other household products
were reported missing from Viveks showroom on the North Usman
road on Tuesday night. The value was not immediately known.
According to police, the culprit had hidden himself inside the
showroom, when it was closed on Monday. With the following day
being a holiday, he had ample time to steal the products. He then
broke open a glass door and escaped.
The burglary came to light only on Tuesday evening.
In another incident, a car was stolen from Jubilee Street in West
Mambalam. It was parked in a locked shed. The theft was noticed
by inmates in the morning.
Ashok Nagar police are investigating.
