Singhal stable

COIMBATORE, MAY 2. The condition of the International working president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Mr. Ashok Singhal, who was hospitalised here after a cardiac arrest on Tuesday was stable. He was responding to treatment, the private hospital he was admitted to said today.

A report said Mr. Singhal was being treated in the Coronary Care Unit with close monitoring of all vital parameters. The ``Thrombolytic therapy'' had relieved him of his chest pain.

The State Minister for Youth Affairs and Pollution Control, Mr. Pongalur N. Palanisamy, and the Union Minister of State for Railways, Mr. O. Rajagopal, called on the VHP leader.

Mr. Singhal would be under medical observation for two more days.
