No difficulty in becoming CM, says Jayalalitha

By Our Special Correspondent

TIRUCHI, APRIL 30. The AIADMK leader, Ms. Jayalalitha, told pressmen here today that she did not perceive any difficulty in becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu because of the rejection of her nomination papers, which made it impossible for her to contest the Assembly elections.

If any difficulty cropped up, she would take appropriate steps to overcome the same, she added.

In a brief chat with presspersons before starting her election tour today, Ms. Jayalalitha thanked Mr. G.K. Moopanar, TMC president, for coming out openly that like Mr. Kamaraj, a non- legislator, she could also become the Chief Minister.

Asked whether the recent rejection of her nomination papers had boosted the chances of the AIADMK front in the elections, she shot back, ``you know better and it is for you to write about it.''
