Poll campaign on top gear

By Our Staff Reporter

PONDICHERRY, APRIL 28. With only 10 days left for campaigning for the Assembly elections in Pondicherry, political parties have geared up their campaign.

Autorickshaws fitted with party flags and playing cine songs zoom through the thoroughfares.

Central Ministers, including the Home Minister, Mr.L.K. Advani, are scheduled to campaign in the Union Territory in the next few days. The Puduchery Makkal Congress is contesting the poll on `bell' symbol. Those canvassing votes for the PMC candidates carry the metal bell. Mr.V. Balaji, TMC president, today campaigned in Cassicade, where he is locking horns with the candidates of the PMC and the PMK.
