She takes India on with vim and vigour
ALL 0 watchers watch her from the wee hours of the morning. They
`Jumpstart' the day with her, in fact.
They `Club [V]' and party with her till the wee hours. She's
`Very [V]', MTV's envy, [V]'s pride.
You simply can't miss Miss India Canada, the newest of the V0's
VJs, Kim.
She was LIVE on channel Chennai city, recently. And we tuned in
for an interview.
Short and sweet as her name, Kim's also one of the youngest of
the VJs, who has just finished high school in Canada. We ask her
to rewind and tell us how she landed in the land of `bindiya'.
It happens only in India. That, someone who comes here after
winning tickets to India, finds herself in a love affair. It was
love at first sight for V0.
The channel asked her come for an audition. She did just that and
went back to Toronto saying she needed time to think. Kim came
back almost inevitably, and fell in love with India. ``Yet, my
heart is back there, in Canada,'' she quickly adds.
``I can see myself working here for a little while,'' says Kim,
who hopes to study law. ``And, of course, get back to my dance
career,'' she says. Kim simply loves dance, she used to teach
dance back home.
From Canada to Colaba, she indeed has come a long way literally,
and now she's learning Kathak in India, whenever she finds the
time.
Right now, she's constantly on tour, going about the country, for
the series of V0 LIVE concerts.
``It's been a fabulous experience,'' she says. Apart from the
technical aspect of learning, she's also learnt about people and
to respect them. She's learnt to live by herself and travel, all
alone in the last three months in India. ``Staying away from
home, I have learnt the value of friends and family. This, has
changed me as a person,'' the bubbly VJ says.
See you after a short break, Kim. Do come back.
