Delhi Govt. must quit
Sir, - This has reference to the news report `A war on the
judiciary, says CJI' (April 5). Something is basically wrong with
the Congress and its leaders. The Delhi Chief Minister's attitude
and actions are a standing example (not to mention Mr. Ajit
Jogi's). I make a mention of these two because both have been in
the IAS and hence are expected to show some respect for rules and
regulations. The Supreme Court's observation is a strong
indictment of the Congress. If it has an iota of political
correctness which it so often demands from others this is the
fittest case for the Delhi Government to resign. It is not as
though the Supreme Court came out with its order for conversion
of transport vehicles in Delhi to the CNG fuel mode a few days or
a few months ago, the order was pending for three years.
That a Chief Minister should confront the Supreme Court after
having done nothing towards the execution of the order goes to
show the heights of arrogance the Congress has scaled, and the
depths of irrationality to which it has sunk.
