By Our Special Correspondent

CALCUTTA, APRIL 6. Mr. Siddhartha Shankar Ray, the former Chief Minister, is likely to contest as Trinamool Congress candidate from Midnapore where parliamentary by-election will be held on May 10 along with the State assembly elections.

According to Trinamool sources, Ms. Mamata Banerjee, the party supremo, today took a decision to this effect. The Congress would support Mr. Ray's candidature. The by-poll was necessitated by the death of the CPI MP, Indrajit Gupta.
