Trinamool ticket for S.S. Ray?
By Our Special Correspondent
CALCUTTA, APRIL 6. Mr. Siddhartha Shankar Ray, the former Chief
Minister, is likely to contest as Trinamool Congress candidate
from Midnapore where parliamentary by-election will be held on
May 10 along with the State assembly elections.
According to Trinamool sources, Ms. Mamata Banerjee, the party
supremo, today took a decision to this effect. The Congress would
support Mr. Ray's candidature. The by-poll was necessitated by
the death of the CPI MP, Indrajit Gupta.
