Pak. to take up fencing issue
By B. Muralidhar Reddy
ISLAMABAD, APRIL 5. The Pakistan Foreign Office is expected to
take up the issue of border fencing by India as it believes that
it is in contravention to the United Nations Security Council
resolutions.
The ISRP chief, Maj. Gen. Rashid Quereshi, said here today that
with the United Nations and the international community having
recognised Kashmir as a disputed border, India had no right to
erect a fence along with it. ``Does that mean India is prepared
to remove the fencing along the disputed border, once the issue
is resolved. We have already registered our protest against the
decision and I am sure Pakistan Foreign Office would formally
take it up with the Indian Government''.
