Appeal to Railways
Sir, - If I remember right, the present rule for break of journey
in Railways is only after 50 km of travel. Now that the Railways
is kind enough to issue tickets on concession to senior citizens
for any length of journey, it will be fair enough to permit them
at least to break journey after 300 km, leaving the other
requirements undisturbed.
This permission should be made available to any group travelling
in the company of a senior citizen, to begin with. Of course if
the Railways is game to extend the same facility to all the
travelling public, well and good.
Antony Palocaren,
