Dutt undergoes toe operation

MUMBAI, MARCH 28. Cine actor-turned-politician, Sunil Dutt, who had a narrow escape after a private aircraft crash-landed near Nasik on Monday night, today underwent an operation for fractured toe at Breach Candy hospital in south Mumbai.

``He is fine and resting at the moment,'' one of Dutt's secretary, Arjun told PTI.

Meanwhile, a report from New Delhi said the President, Mr. K.R. Narayanan, wished a speedy recovery to Mr. Dutt.

``I am relieved to hear of your providential escape when the plane you were travelling in crash-landed near Nasik yesterday. Concerned as I am to hear of your hospitalisation, I wish you and your co-passengers speedy recovery to normal health,'' his message said.
