THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 25. The following are the names of the CPI candidates for the coming Assembly election, with their constituencies in brackets, released by the party here today:

Mr. M. Kumaran (Hosdurg SC), Mr. Benoy Viswam (Nadapuram), Mr. K. E. Ismail (Pattambi), Mr. Jose Baby (Mannarakkad), Mr. C. N. Jayadevan (Ollur), Mr. K. P. Rajendran (Cherpu), Mr. Krishnan Kaniyamparambil (Nattika), Mr. U. S. Sasi (Mala) and Prof. Meenakshi Thampan (Kodungalloor).

Mr. P. Raju (North Paravur), Mr. George Kunnappally (Muvattupuzha), Mr. C. A. Kurian (Peerumade), Mr. P. Narayanan (Vaikom SC), Prof. A. Thulasidas (Vazhoor), Mr. C. K. Chandrappan (Cherthala), Mr. K. C. Pillai (Karunagappally), Ms. R. Latha Devi (Chadayamangalam), Mr. K. Prakash Babu (Pathanapuram), Mr. N. Anirudhan (Chathannur), Mr. N. The CPI-backed independent candidates are: Advocate A. M. Abdul Rahim (Alappuzha) and Mr. A. V. Abdu Rahim alias Abdu Haji (Thirurangadi).
