Kanpur 'peaceful'

KANPUR, MARCH 25. Night curfew was today lifted in Raipurwa police station area here, following marked improvement in the situation, police said. Night curfew in six riot-hit areas would now be in force from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., the district magistrate, Mr. B.S. Bhullar, said adding the ``the situation in the city is absolutely calm, peaceful and under control.''
