11 more held for sacrilege
CHANDIGARH, MARCH 24. The Punjab police have arrested 11 more
persons in connection with the incidents of alleged sacrilege and
hurting of religious sentiments at Patiala and Amritsar early
this week.
A Patiala police spokesman said that seven All India Hindu
Suraksha Samiti activists were arrested today. The outfit's
chairman, Mr. Sanjiv Bharadwaj, is absconding.
The Amritsar police arrested four persons on Friday in connection
with the sacrilege on March 20.
