Truck with BJP will continue in W. Bengal: Mamata
KOLKATA, MARCH 18. In a bid to revive the Mahajot (grand
alliance) against the Left Front for the coming West Bengal
Assembly polls, the Trinamool Congress today reiterated that its
alliance with the BJP in the State still existed and urged the
Congress to join in a one-to- one fight against the LF.
``We are for a broad-based alliance to rid the State of the
corrupt Left Front,'' Trinamool's policy-making body chairman,
Mr. Pankaj Banerjee, told newspersons here. The party's seat-
sharing arrangement with the BJP stood, he said, and till date
the TC had not received any intimation from the saffron party for
a change in the seats allotted.
