List of new engineering colleges

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 7. The Department of Education has
brought out the list of new engineering colleges and polytechnics
which have received the viability certificate from the All India
Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
The names of the Trust/Society setting up the college and the
names of the colleges (in brackets) are given below:
Co-operative Academy of Professional Education,
Thiruvananthapuram (College of Engineering, Pathanapuram);
University of Calicut (Institute of Engineering & Technology,
Calicut University Campus); LBS Centre for Science & Technology
(LBS Institute of Technology, Thiruvananthapuram); Institute of

The AICTE has issued viability certificates for the following
colleges to start the MCA course.
Government College of Engineering, Kannur; Computer Centre,
University of Calicut, Kozhikode; Rajiv Gandhi Institute of
Technology, Kottayam; ER & DCI Institute of Technology,
Thiruvananthapuram; Marian College, Peermade; KVM College of
Engineering & Information Technology, Kochi; Dayapuram Institute
of Management & Technology, Kozhikode; Regional Centre School of
Engineering & Applied Science, Kochi; MES College, Marampally,
Ernakulam; Union Christian College, Aluva; Rajagiri College of
Social Science, Kochi; Chinmaya Institute of Technology, Kannur
TOCH Institute of Advanced Studies, Kochi.
The Director of Technical Education has been issued with
viability certificates to set up Polytechnics at, Mannarkad in
Palakkad district, Kundara in Kollam, Thalavadi in Alappuzha, at
Kottayam, Kozhikode, Palakkad and Thodupuzha in Idukki district.
