Indian History Congress president

CHENNAI, MARCH 7. Indologist and former Editor of Dinamani, Mr. Iravatham Mahadevan, has been elected general president of the Indian History Congress, at its recent session in Kolkata.

He will preside over the next annual session of the congress to be held in Bhopal in December 2001.

Mr. Mahadevan is also member of the Tamil Nadu Council of Historical Research.
