DMK invites applications

CHENNAI, FEB. 18 The DMK has invited applications from those who
want to contest on the party ticket in the coming elections to
the Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Assemblies.
Mr. K. Anbazhagan, general secretary, announced in a statement
today that applications from prospective candidates could be
submitted at the party headquarters from February 26 to March 5.
The application fee for the Assembly constituencies would be Rs.
5,000. But women candidates and those seeking the ticket in the
reserved constituencies need to pay only Rs. 2,500, the statement
added.
