By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI, FEB. 10. The Madras Regiment's contingent in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi has been adjudged the `Best' overall inter-services contingent.

Though the Regiment has won many laurels in operations and professional competitions, it is for the first time the Regiment has won this coveted title by bagging the trophies for the best marching contingent of the three Services during the Army Day and Republic Day, best contingent commander and best Quarter Guard and Line Layout competitions.
