5 criminals shot dead
BARH (Bihar), JAN. 31. At least five criminals were killed in an
encounter with the police at Dahma village under Hadour police
station area in Patna district today.
The officer-in-charge of Pandarak police station was injured in
the shoot-out and rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
The Deputy Police Superintendent, Mr. Amjad Ali, said the
incident occurred when the police went to the village to nab the
criminals. He said the police had to open fire when they were
attacked by the outlaws.
Mr. Ali said four rifles, one gun, three pistols and cartridges
were recovered from them.
